Jim Hatch, CEO, is a recognized global leader in human capital management. He has spent over twenty years building and leading human resource consulting practices for several major professional services firms including PricewaterhouseCoopers, Ernst & Young, Towers Perrin and the Hay Group.
Prior to co-founding TalentScope, Jim was a lead partner in the Human Resources Services practice at PwC, and served as the national head of The Saratoga Institute. He spent four years as the managing partner of Arthur Andersen’s Northeast regional Human Capital Services practice and five years as the Midwest market leader of Ernst & Young’s Human Resource Consulting Services practice. Jim led the Financial Institutions practice for the Chicago office of Towers Perrin and served as the executive in charge of the Compensation, Sales Force Effectiveness, and Gain Sharing practices for Hay Management Consultants.
Jim began his consulting career as an auditor and as a strategy, reengineering and rewards consultant at Deloitte Haskins and Sells. He also served as a financial officer responsible for financial reporting, financial analysis and budgeting at the Northern Trust in Chicago.
Jim has been a frequent lecturer at industry and professional seminars on various topics related to human capital strategies, HR metrics, and compensation design. He is often quoted by business, as well as the professional press. Jim has co-authored a book titled: Delivering On The Promise: How to Attract, Manage and Retain Human Capital. He is also a member of World at Work, the Society for Human Resource Management and the American Institute of CPA’s.
